CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic treatment begins with assessing your range of motion, palpation, reflexes, and muscle strength. From there, we discuss your treatment goals and develop a plan. Typically, chiropractic treatment involves gentle mobilization and adjustments to your joints to improve your range of motion and decrease pain. Through realigning your body’s musculoskeletal structure, chiropractic treatment restores joint mobility and works to improve normal function.
ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE
Active Release Technique (ART®) is a soft tissue (massage) technique that treats muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, and fascia. ART® involves treating abnormal tissues with precise tension and specific patient movements. Basically, it breaks down muscle adhesions to relieve pain and restore function. Often described as a “good hurt,” ART® effectively treats both acute and chronic conditions.
GRASTON TECHNIQUE
The Graston Technique® is a manual therapy that uses stainless steel instruments to treat soft tissue conditions. Designed to help identify restricted areas, the technique helps break up scar tissue, reduce fascial restrictions, and stretch connective tissue to create an optimal healing environment. Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
ORTHOTICS
For many, custom orthotics resolve foot, ankle, leg, and lower back pain by correcting alignment, redistributing foot pressure, and improving balance. Orthotics offer customized heel and arch support and prevent foot issues like corns, calluses, and bunions.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that involves creating a series of low energy acoustic wave pulsations that are directly applied to an injury through a person’s skin via a gel medium. This treatment increases local blood flow, breaks down scar tisse and tissue adhesions, boosts cellular repair and microscopic tissue regeneration.
What Does Shockwave Therapy treat?
Shockwave Therapy can treat a number of different conditions including Plantar Fasciitis/Calcaneal Spurs, shoulder pain with or without calcifications, IT Band Friction Syndrome, Golfers Elbow/Tennis Elbow, muscle trigger points (deep and superficial), Tendonitis, chronic back and neck pain and Achilles Tendonitis.
Treatments Required
Research has shown that 3-6 treatments are necessary to maximize response and are typically done at weekly intervals. Treatments usually only take 5-10 minutes, and patient tenderness during treatment is normal; however, this can be controlled by treatment settings.
Relief can be felt immediately following treatment, but there may be some tenderness felt up to 24 hours after treatment. This is generally due to the inflammatory response.
WHAT WE TREAT
You don’t have to suffer through aches and pains. From babies through to seniors, regular chiropractic care can help you live your best life.
We often take precautions when it comes to strenuous activity, but when we perform recurring day-to-day tasks, we don’t consider the impact these seemingly innocuous movements can have on our bodies. But rapid, repeated motions like texting, playing video games, and even knitting can cause repetitive strain injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, and rotator cuff injuries. If you have pain, tingling, burning, or numbness in your hands, wrists, arms, or shoulders, we can help.
If you’re experiencing neck, back, or shoulder pain that’s not improving after a few days, your vertebrae are probably out of alignment. Causes can range from poor posture, repetitive motions, sleep positions, or injury – but diagnosis and treatment can decrease your pain and restore your mobility.
A nerve pain issue that causes low back pain that travels down the buttock into one or both legs, sciatica can be caused by misalignment, herniated discs, pregnancy, childbirth, diabetes, or constipation. If you’ve been experiencing sciatic nerve discomfort, you don’t have to keep suffering. We offer tailored treatment options that can get you out of pain and feeling back to normal.
A key benefit of chiropractic care isn’t just treating sports injuries but preventing them. Sports injuries can happen due to overtraining, bad form, equipment failures, and traumatic force, but they can also happen because of structural abnormalities, muscle imbalances, and muscle weakness. So while playing sports and exercising is essential for healthy living, injury prevention is key. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or new to a sport or exercise, visit us to discuss prevention and performance enhancement.
Often stemming from tightened muscles in the head, neck, and shoulders, these debilitating conditions can be treated with chiropractic care. As nervous system specialists, we diagnose and treat the underlying causes of these conditions so you can ditch the painkillers and improve your quality of life.
Car accidents often cause neuromusculoskeletal symptoms like whiplash, headaches, numbness, weakness, and low back pain – even at low speeds. If you’re feeling sore after a car accident, don’t tough it out, early treatment can prevent chronic issues.
